On the Ethereum blockchain, a new testnet Kintsugi has arisen

The Ethereum 2.0 designers test the blockchain network’s preparedness for ETH 2.0. The Kintsugi test network has been started to determine if the switch from the PoW mining algorithm to the PoS staking method is ready.

One of the ETH engineers, Tim Beiko, posted on his Twitter account that all interested developers are invited to investigate the testnet’s work in the next few days. It is required to build Kintsugi prototypes, discover blockchain issues and interruptions, and promptly resolve them in order to ensure the cryptocurrency network’s 100% operability.

The Ethereum designers will launch further test networks in the future as enhancements are made to ensure that the blockchain is completely prepared for the switch to a staking mining algorithm. This is expected to happen in the second or third quarter of 2022.

The fusion of all test networks will be the ultimate chord. ETH 2.0 will be released with the Proof-of-Stake algorithm once stability is established.
